Paul Edinburgh will continue promoting public safety in our communities while ensuring that citizens of Precinct 2 have access to their local Justice of the Peace Court. He is committed to serving the public with professionalism and compassion while executing the duties entrusted to the Constable’s office.

  • Serve the citizens and the needs of the court in an expedient and professional manner while maintaining the highest degree of integrity and commitment.

  • Increase public safety and maintain a strong law enforcement presence while conducting civil process in the communities we serve.

  • Initiate a Traffic Assistance Program and a Roadside Assistance Program.

  • Continue a healthy working relationship with the surrounding law enforcement agencies not just in Precinct 2 but in all of Galveston County.

  • Maintain an open-door policy and transparency so citizens can contact their elected constable at any time to assist them with whatever challenges they may have.

  • Invest and promote officer training so the office is up-to-date on the latest processes, equipment and execution of service programs.

  • Work with the Justice of the Peace Court to promote an e-filing system for all civil processes. 

  • Conduct continuing education with local police departments on the training of Civil Process to assist in daily civil calls for service. 

  • Increase courtroom security for the protection of your elected JP as well as for court participants and attorneys.

  • Maintain an office fitness/defensive tactics program to keep deputies physically sharp and intact.

  • Attend staff meetings with the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office for information sharing throughout Galveston County.

  • Establish a Notary Public Service in the office.
